| "Be My Chic" aka Kaycee |
Through our life we have to make choices that are not always easy.
The above picture is of Logan Brumfield (taken at age 13) performing a "sliding stop"
on her horse "Kaycee" (taken at age 2).
This remarkable young lady who is now 14 years old had to make one of the toughest
decisions that every horse owner hopes to never be in the position to make.
Logan's horse "Kaycee" spent the past week at LSU trying to recover from "Choke".
The doctors found that Kaycee has a condition in her Esophagus that can not be
corrected.
The doctors gave Logan two options:
1. Humanly euthanize Kaycee
2. Donate her to LSU.
Logan made the tough decision to donate Kaycee to LSU to allow the doctors to learn
as much as they can to hopefully help other horse owners in the future not have to
make this decision.
Logan is such a special child to be so unselfish. Even in her loss she is trying to "help"
some one else.
